The Bendigo Greyhound Racing Association's 15th annual Gold Rush Carnival features a big weekend of racing.

Saturday night's racing will include the presentation of the 2018 Bendigo Greyhound Trainer of the Year Award to Barbara Breen who trained the BGRA greyhound of the Year, Weetbix Mini.
The flagship event of the carnival is Sunday's race seven, the Gold Rush Maiden.
"The race is always significant in unleashing the young stars of the future, " BGRA manager Troy Harley said.
The first prize of $10,000 has attracted some "extremely talented" youngsters from across the country.
The race will include the Michael Carter trained EXTRA SPEED which has drawn box two and the Glenn Rounds trained REGGIE KEEPING out of box one.
The crowds will also gather for race eight on Sunday, the $12,000 Stayers Cup - BGRA's richest event of the year.
The George Borg trained BLACK IMPALA will head the field, and if he crosses the line first, he will pass the $200,000 stake money barrier.
On Sunday there will be plenty of family action off the track for children, with entertainment, activities, food, prizes and an Easter egg hunt.
