A police officer charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice has appeared in court in Bendigo.

Senior Constable Samuel Miller appeared in Bendigo Magistrates' Court on Tuesday for a short filing hearing.
He was charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice, two counts of making a false document, and two counts of using a false document.
Mr Miller appeared at court wearing a suit with a Victoria Police tie.
Professional Standards Command charged Mr Miller with the offences on March 19.
Victoria Police released the information on March 27, and the charges were filed with the court on Tuesday morning.
The alleged offending occurred between 2015 and 2018.
Mr Miller will again appear in court for a committal mention later this year.
Victoria Police confirmed a senior constable remained suspended with pay.
