The Association of Australian Gallery Guiding Organisations conference brings together volunteer art gallery guides every two years for a four-day event featuring presentations from artists, curators and art experts.
Former Bendigo Art Gallery director and current National Portrait Gallery director Karen Quinlan presented on the opening day.
The four-day program includes a trip to Castlemaine to experience the incredible State Festival as well as a visit to Bendigo Art Gallery's Tudors to Windsors exhibition.
As well as highlighting the importance of art galleries in Australia, the AAGGO conference also showcases the men and women who volunteer their time to help make art accessible by sharing their knowledge and passion with visitors.
The conference concludes on Friday.
