CMC went head-to-head against Mildura Senior College - and won the match to secure a position in the state finals to be played later this year.
CMC's Cailin Green and Mackenzie Nally opened the batting order after losing the toss to Mildura.
After a short rain delay the girls rotated through the batting order - clocking up multiple runs on the board.
At the end of twenty overs CMC posted an impressive 1/153 to set a hard task for Mildura.
Bridie Semmens and Chelsea Furlong opened up the bowling for CMC, with Nally behind the wickets.
After a dropped catch, Green was determined to get the momentum flowing again.
Shortly after Green took a "spectacular" catch off Semmens' bowling to secure an early breakthrough.
The momentum continued with multiple catches and wickets, and in the end CMC restricted Mildura to 5/52 to secure victory.
The team's coach Kylie Henriksen was more than impressed with the performance of the squad.
"It was a great game and the girls looked every bit the cricketers we knew they were and the convincing win was a reflection of that," Henriksen said.
"They now progress to the state finals which are to be played in October.
"A huge thank you to Harry McKinley and Jack Keating for assisting with scoring on the day, and Maree Pearce for her organisation behind the scenes."
