He was taken to Echuca Hospital before going to Echuca Airport where he was transferred by air ambulance to the Royal Melbourne.
A spokeswoman for the Royal Melbourne Hospital said the man remains in a critical condition.
EARLIER: Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are on the scene of a serious collision in Echuca which occurred on Sunday morning.
Investigators have been told a pedestrian was on a shared walking track between McKenzie Street and Campapse Esplanade when he was struck by a motorcycle about 12.15am.
It is believed the motorcyclist was speeding when it struck the pedestrian.
The motorcyclist also fell to the ground and a nearby witnesses came to the aid of both men before the motorcyclist got back on his bike and fled the scene toward Campaspe Esplanade.
The pedestrian sustained life threatening injuries and was airlifted to hospital in a critical condition.
The motorcyclist is described as Caucasian, approximately 183cm tall with a tanned complexion and a medium build.
