Hudson Waterman, Phoebe Martin and Zacch Martin were part of Essendon's grand final win over Research.
Essendon trailed Research by one run in the final inning.
With a runner on base, Phoebe Martin came to the plate and, with the game on the line, hit safely to the outfield, scoring the run and sending the game into extra innings.
The teams played a further three innings before Essendon was able to score the winning run in the bottom of the eighth to clinch the pennant.
The three Bendigo players all made contributions to the team.
Zacch Martin hit the ball twice, Hudson Waterman had a safe hit and performed well behind the plate, while Phoebe Martin's fifth inning heroics were crucial.
It was a just reward for the Bendigo players' dedication as they travel to Melbourne every week for games and training.
