The club rallied round to help with medical fees after member Jackson Davie suffered a major spinal injury in December.
Organiser Ryan Currie said the club was hoping to raise maybe $2000, with a reverse raffle.
It started with himself and a few others, then the whole committee got on board. They organised a few musical acts to donate their time.
More than 400 people turned out to listen to music, have a few drinks and bid on a silent auction.
Mr Currie said the club stepped up to support a long-time player and friend.
"His family’s been heavily involved with United for a long time," Mr Currie said.
We thought it was a great opportunity for us to show our support to our players, to make sure that we don’t leave people behind.

"We thought it was a great opportunity for us to show our support to our players, to make sure that we don’t leave people behind.
"If it happened to any of us, we know that United Cricket Club would have helped out, so that’s why we did it."
Jacko's father Cam Davie said it was "massive" for the family to have the club's support.
"United Cricket Club's always been more than a club, it's a family club, and everything they every do is family orientated and this is just fantastic," Mr Davie said.
Club president Shane Hartney said the club was shocked by the amount raised.
"The great thing about it was it was the young people in the club, the young women and men, they initiated it, they organised it," he said.
"The future is good if we’ve got young people like that in our society."
