Kyneton police detected a car travelling at 130km/h in an 100km/h zone about 4am on Tuesday.
The incident occurred on the Melbourne-Lancefield Road at Bolinda, east of Macedon.
Police said the man, who was on his P-plates, would lose his licence for the offence.
