Goldfields Crime Investigation Unit detectives believe the same offenders targeted pools and sporting complexes in the region and stole items including electronic equipment.
A number of towns, including Castlemaine, Wedderburn, Boort and Lockington, have been targeted.
The first burglary occurred at a swimming pool on Lake Augusta Road in Castlemaine on February 6.
The pool was again broken into between 7.30am on Monday and noon on Tuesday.
Investigators believe the same offenders are responsible for a burglary at a swimming pool in Lockington on February 16 at 4.20am. Cash electronic equipment were stolen during the burglary.
On this occasion the offenders fled in a white SUV.
Investigators have released images of the vehicle in the hope that someone might recognise it or its owners.
