Trains have resumed on the Bendigo line after a fire beside the line in Harcourt.
Several services were delayed or replaced with coaches because of the fire.
Some residual delays may affect the line.
3.59pm:
The 2.20pm train from Southern Cross to Epsom will terminate early at Castlemaine because of a fire near Harcourt.
Passengers can board train replacement coaches to complete their journey.
Coaches may take some time to arrive.
3.41pm:
A fire next to the rail line at Harcourt has been put under control.
The Country Fire Authority say services on the line are expected to be delayed until just after 4pm.
A V/Line representative said the length of the delay would yet to be determined. Trains will either be held or coaches be arranged.
The Southern Cross to Epsom in transit will be held at Castlemaine.
The fire was controlled shortly before 3.30pm.
3.26pm:
Smoke from a grassfire at Harcourt is visible from nearby roads, but there is no threat to the community and no action is required.
V/Line services are experiencing minor disruption the fire, which is next to the rail line.
The 3.18pm service from Bendigo to Melbourne has been replaced by road coaches due to the fire.
A service travelling from Melbourne to Bendigo will likely be held at Castlemaine, a representative said.
The most recent train to depart Bendigo Station has already passed Harcourt and is continuing on its way to Melbourne.
A V/Line representative encouraged customers to keep an eye on the website and ask staff members for more information.

The CFA are fighting a fire near the rail line and the Midland Highway just to the south of Harcourt.
A column of smoke was spotted just before 3pm on Monday.
Firefighters are currently on the rail line to fight the fire.
