An 88-year-old man has died in hospital following a crash at Lancefield olast Wednesday.

The Sunbury man was involved in a single-car crash on Three Chain Road near Lancefield on February 13.
The crash also claimed the life of his passenger, an 87-year-old Sunbury woman, who died at the scene..
It is believed the man was driving his silver Hyundai east on Three Chain Road when the vehicle left the road and crashed into a tree about 2pm.
The man was airlifted to hospital with critical injuries but died on Sunday.
The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation.
This year’s road toll now stands at 45 compared to 25 at the same time last year.
