Road closures on Napier Street mean drivers and residents in White Hills will need to allow extra time to make their way into the city next week.
Napier Street's southbound lanes will be closed from Monday until further notice as crews working between Plumridge and Lyon streets.
A detour will be in place along Dundas and Raglan streets for those travelling towards Bendigo. Heavy vehicles will be directed along Hamelin and Heinz streets.
Speed limits will be set at 40km/h with traffic controllers on hand to monitor traffic flow and guide drivers around the worksite.
Works on Napier Street in February and March include line marking and the final layer of road surface, water main and drainage work and footpaths being finished.
The nearby Strickland Road and Murphy Street roundabout in East Bendigo is also partially closed due to important upgrade works being carried out by City of Greater Bendigo.
Dates and times of the works are subject to change. For more visit www.traffic.vicroads.vic.gov.au
