“Which included a good number of youth and ladies paddling this year.”
The Saltwater Classic is held each year, with competitors travelling from across the state to participate.
The event – hosted by the Footscray Canoe Club – included a range of race distances across multiple age group entry categories.
The classic is one of five canoe grand prix races overseen by the Paddle Victoria Marathon committee.
The next race of the GP series will be hosted by the Mitta Mitta Canoe club.
