
EAGLEHAWK has soared into second position on the BBD midweek pennant ladder after extending its winning streak to six on Monday.
The red-hot Hawks inflicted South Bendigo’s 11th-consecutive defeat with an 87-75 victory at home.
The match featured a high-scoring contest between the rinks of Eaglehawk’s Janet Robertson and South’s Elaine Bowland, who combined for 70 shots.
Robertson won 37-33, while the Hawks’ rink of Jan Conder (34) also scored more than 30.
In other games, Kangaroo Flat moved back into the top four with a 75-59 victory over Inglewood.

The Flat had all rinks up to overtake Castlemaine, and now have a 15-point buffer inside the top four with two rounds remaining.
Bendigo East bounced back from its first loss of the season with a 40-shot demolition of Castlemaine, 91-51.
And Golden Square – staring at the rare prospect of an absence from the finals – made it back-to-back wins by defeating Bendigo 75-61.
