After an impressive debut with the Braves during the 2018 season, Turner was named in the SEABL All-Star 5.
Braves head coach David Hogan said Turner would have an even greater impact in 2019 after gaining experience as a player with the NBL Sydney Kings.
“Ray is a powerhouse player that brings maximum energy to the floor and really sets the pace of the game,” Hogan said.
Turner finished the 2018 season averaging 22.6 points per game, with 55.2 per cent field goal shooting and 11 rebounds per game.
Bendigo Stadium general manager of sport Ben Harvey was pleased to see Turner return to the Braves.
“He is a great team player and a real asset to our community,” Harvey said.
“It will be a spectacle for the fans to have a current NBL player in Bendigo and real beacon of inspiration for our young players.”
Turner is fulfilling his current duties with the Kings, but will return to the Braves in March.
He has previously played professionally in several countries, including Cyprus, Hungary and Japan.
