Bawden took 3-13 off four overs to help Victoria Country to an impressive 24-run win at Weeroona Oval.
Bawden made the most of her first opportunity with the ball at the carnival. Her spell reduced WA from 4-31 to 7-42.
The visitors eventually finished 9-84 off their 20 overs – 24 runs short of Victoria Country’s total of 4-108.
Lucy Cripps made 48 off 60 balls for Victoria Country and Merinda Hale added 33 off 42 balls.
Kangaroo Flat’s Jasmine Nevins made four and took a nice catch for Vic Country.
Best with the bat for WA was Emma Davidson with 28.
Victoria Country has a 3-1 record going into Wednesday’s rest day.
In Tuesday morning’s third round the hosts edged out the Cricket Australia XI by one run.
Title favourite New South Wales Metro passed its stiffest test of the carnival with flying colours on Tuesday night.
The only undefeated team going into Tuesday night’s fourth round, NSW Metro looked in trouble when ACT/NSW Country posted an impressive 9-128 at the QEO.
NSW Metro showed its class by chasing down the big total with seven wickets and more than three overs to spare.
Opener Maddy Darke continued her brilliant carnival by making an unbeaten 59 off 54 balls, while Olivia Porter added 25 not out.
ACT/NSW Country’s best performers with the bat were Alisha Bates (37) and Lara Graham (30).
NSW Metro’s win came on the back of a 59-run thumping of South Australia in round three on Tuesday morning.
All-rounder Angelina Genford was the star with 36 and 4-10, while Darke made 35 off 28 balls.
South Australia bounced back from the round three loss to defeat Cricket Australia XI by 10 runs on Tuesday night.
Star duo Rachel Church (48 not out) and Katie Rowe (25) once again led the way with the bat for SA.
Laura Niejalke took 3-11 for the winners.
Phoebe Litchfield (23) and Ruth Johnston (22) were best with the bat for the CA XI.
Queensland strengthened its hopes of making the T20 semi-finals by scoring two wins on Tuesday.
The round three win over ACT/NSW Country was outstanding.
Chasing 137 for victory, Queensland made 6-138 off 19.4 overs.
In-form batter Courtney Sippel made 42 and she received great support from Annie Wikman (32), Lilly Mills (23) and Renee Irvine (23).
Anika Learoyd (36), Jessica Davidson (35 not out) and Anita Handono (34) batted well for ACT/NSW Country.
Queensland made it two wins for the day when it defeated Victoria Metro by 63 runs at Dower Park on Tuesday night.
After being sent into bat, the Queenslanders made 9-146 thanks to strong contributions from Charli Knott (35), Sippel (33) and Wikman (26).
Hailey Ferris (29) and Katia Jomini (22) were the only Vic Metro batters to reach double figures.
Six of Queensland’s seven bowlers took at least one wicket.
Tasmania celebrated its first win of the tournament when it defeated Northern Territory by 49 runs on Tuesday night.
A fine unbeaten 55 from opener Bonnie Davies was the catalyst of Tassie’s score of 7-126.
Amber Cloughessy (26) tried hard in NT’s innings of 9-77.
