The end of the WNBL season can’t come quick enough for the Bendigo Spirit.
The Spirit suffered a 102-62 loss to the University of Canberra Capitals on Friday night.
Playing without starting forward Nadeen Payne, the Spirit were outclassed by the title-chasing Capitals.
The Caps scored 68 points in the first half alone, with star duo Kelsey Griffin and Kia Nurse doing as they please.
Griffin scored 27 points in just 24 minutes of court time against her old club, while Nurse added 24 points.
Nat Hurst, Marena Whittle and Becca Tobin scored 12 points each for the Spirit.
The Spirit are back on the Bendigo Stadium court from 2pm on Sunday against the Perth Lynx.
