HUNTLY-North Epsom’s red-hot bowling form has continued in the BDCA after dismantling Strathfieldsaye for just 39 in their one-day match on Saturday.
The Power thrashed the Jets by 190 runs at Strauch Reserve and will carry a five-game winning streak into the Christmas-New Year break.
The Power made the most of the invitation to bat first, with their 6-229 their highest score of the season.
But it was their brutal performance with the ball in which this game will be remembered for.
The Power took just 24.2 overs to skittle a Jets’ batting line-up that offered no resistance for a mere 39.
It was the fifth lowest score a BDCA team has been bowled out for in the 2000s, with the 10 wickets shared between Brett Elvey (4-3), Mitch Whittle (3-16) and Adam Ward (3-17).
As well as his three wickets, Ward also outscored the Jets on his own after making 64 opening the Power innings.
Six Strathfieldsaye batsmen were dismissed for two or less, including four who made ducks.
Only Luke Jones (13 n.o.), who battled staunchly for 55 balls, made more than six.
The result was a 277-run reversal from round two when the Jets beat the Power by 87 runs.
