The stunning resurgence of the Power has become the BDCA’s dominant storyline over the past month.
Were 0-3 and on the bottom of the ladder, but have since peeled off five wins in a row, culminating in the devastating performance on Saturday when they ripped through Strathfieldsaye for just 39 to move up to third.
The Power’s bowling unit has been the driving force of their revival in which they have taken 10-187, 20-180, 10-111, 10-94 and 10-39 in their five-straight wins.

The Hawks were 3-1 and on top of the ladder after four rounds, but since have just one win from their past four games and slipped down to fourth on the ladder.
But have a very favourable draw after the break, with their only game to come against a fellow side currently in the top four being against Sandhurst in the final round.

You’ve got to go back to 2004-05 for the last time the Suns were outside the top four at the mid-season break.
But a victory over reigning premier Sandhurst on Saturday in a must-win game might be just the boost the Suns need to kickstart their season in the new year and make a charge to the top four.
The batting is holding up its end of the bargain – they have twice made more than 300 – but the bowling has been heavily reliant on Cameron Taylor (25 wickets) and Sam Johnston (12), who have combined to take more than half of the Suns’ wickets.
Certainly haven’t had an easy draw – the Suns have played top-four teams Eaglehawk, Golden Square and Sandhurst twice already.

The Demons have split their past six games 3-3 since copping an outright loss against Eaglehawk in round two.
They go to the break with a 4-4 record, with all four of their wins having come against the bottom two sides in Bendigo United and Bendigo and face a tough first two games back after the break against Sandhurst and Huntly-North Epsom.
The season is proving to be a breakout one with the bat for Ollie Geary (315 runs) and the ball for crafty spinner Jack Bourke (17 wickets).

Season has followed the pattern of LWLWLWLW so far for the Roos.
Are ranked No.2 for bowling, but last for batting, which wasn’t helped by their two trips to Strauch Reserve when they were bowled out for 80 and 100 in an outright loss to Huntly-North Epsom in round five, and 94 in round seven, while their 18 ducks is almost double the BDCA average of 9.8.
With the ball they are the only team in the competition to have four players with double figure wickets – Brent Hamblin (16), Chris Barber (15), Dylan Klemm (14) and Adam Burns (10), who just keeps on keeping on.

The big question hovering over the Jets during the break will be how will they bounce back from their disastrous day against Huntly-North Epsom on Saturday when they were all for just 39?
They have now slipped 10 points outside the top four, with just one win from their past six games following an encouraging 2-0 start.
Sri Lankan imports Savith Priyan (19 wickets) and Chathura Damith (12) have both been fine acquisitions, combining for 31 wickets.

Have been the big disappointments so far. Coming off a semi-final appearance last season, the Goers are languishing in ninth position with just two wins, one of which was against reigning premier Sandhurst.
Struggling to have enough players impacting with the bat on the same day as shown by the fact they have had just four scores of more than 50 across their 83 innings so far.

The rebuilding Redbacks look destined for a second-straight wooden spoon as they have reached the mid-season break winless.
Have endured some long days in the field having three times conceded scores of more than 300, with captain Leigh McDermott’s calf injury further exposing an already thin bowling attack.
