It’s all about extremes this school holidays.
There’ll be vacuums and dry ice, not to mention marshmallows and balloons.
And not to give to much away, but the finale will involve friction put to a spectacular, suspensive use.
General manager Jonathan Ridnell said the job of the discovery centre was to find ways to excite people about the future in science and technology.
“In school holidays we move into informal education mode and we really look for a theme that will spark imagination,” Mr Ridnell said.
“Every school holidays we take a theme and we want tot develop it as a way to develop and inspire scientific curiosity.”
The school holiday program will have a mix of hands-on activities, demonstrations and a planetarium show.
