Stepien and Crone helped the Blues to two wins from two games in the Renegades conference of the Twenty20 league.
The opening match of the competition features five BDCA products, with Stepien and Crone playing for the Blues and Liam Bowe, Isaac Conway and James Seymour playing for the Bombers.
The Blues restricted the Bombers to 9-93 off 20 overs, with Crone taking 1-20 as well as a run out and a catch.
Conway top-scored for the Bombers with 21 off 25 balls, while Seymour made a golden duck and Bowe was one not out.
Stepien ensured the Blues would have few troubles passing the Bombers' total when he blasted 44 off 38 balls.
The left-hander hit two fours and two sixes before he was clean bowled by Bowe.
Bowe was the pick of the Bombers' bowlers with 2-34, while Seymour had figures of 0-14.
The Blues won their second match of the day against the Dragons, thanks largely to Crone's efforts with the bat.
Batting at number eight, Crone smashed an unbeaten 31 off just 16 balls to see the Blues over the line by four wickets and with five balls to spare.
Earlier, Stepein made 12 off eight balls.
The Bombers lost their second match to the Dragons by 17 runs.
Bowe and Seymour didn't take a wicket in the Dragons' innings of 5-121.
Seymour made six with the bat and Conway added 13 as the Bombers fell 17 runs short.
The Super Slam, which has prizemoney of $20,000, continues next Tuesday night.
The top team in each conference at the end of the regular season will play in the grand final at the MCG on January 27.
Both teams will also qualify for the National T20 Premier Finals in Adelaide in March.
