“I am honoured and thrilled to have another four years to serve the Bendigo East community,” Jacinta Allan said.
“I’d also like to thank the Bendigo East community for their support, and in turn I will work very hard on delivering the commitment we’ve made, and also continuing to support the organisations, groups and activities that make our Bendigo and central Victoria area such a wonderful place to live.”
Member for Bendigo West, Maree Edwards was also excited to have the opportunity to continue in her role.
Making sure anyone who had contacted her office in the past two weeks was high on her priorities on Monday morning.
“We have a clear majority – that’s amazing and fantastic," Ms Edwards said.
“It’s a little early yet to say what’s next when the government hasn’t been sworn in.”

Both Ms Edwards and Ms Allan flagged upcoming trips to Melbourne for caucus meetings.
“Whether here in Bendigo or across the state, we’ve got a lot we want to get on and do as soon as possible,” Ms Allan said.
Both members had leadership positions during their previous terms. Ms Allan had the portfolios of public transport and major projects, and was Leader of the House.
Ms Edwards was elected Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly in March 2017.
“My approach on these matters is the premier allocates the portfolios and it would be, firstly, an honour to be chosen by my caucus colleagues to continue on as a minister, and an honour to serve in whatever role the premier decides to allocate,” Ms Allan said.
Ms Edwards has been the Member for Bendigo West since 2010. Ms Edwards became the Member for Bendigo East in 1999.
