The Powercor website is listing no outages in the Bendigo area with the city’s residents restored to power.
UPDATE, 9.25pm: A fault in Gladstone Street, Quarry Hill, has been repaired.
But a cable failure in Condon Street, Kennington, means 600 residents in Kennington and Flora Hill are still without power.
The Powercor website is estimating the issue will be repaired by 10pm.
UPDATE, 7pm: Power is slowly being restored to suburbs in Bendigo.
A fault in Reservoir Road, Strathdale, that occurred yesterday has been fixed while 1200 homes in Flora Hill have regained power that was lost at about 5.30pm this evening due to a fault in Quarry Hill.
More than 1100 homes in Flora Hill and Kennington are still without power. Powercor expect to restore power by 8.30pm.
Traffic lights have been reported out in Somerville and Ellis streets in Flora Hill while police are directing traffic at the intersections of Edwards Road and Condon Street and Marnie Road and Condon Street in Strathdale.
EARLIER: More than 2300 homes are without power following a power outage that hit around 5.30pm.
Traffic lights at the corner of Somerville and Ellis streets in Flora Hill are also out.
According to the Powercor website, a fault in Gladstone Street, Quarry Hill, caused the outage with 1508 residents in Flora Hill without power as well a 814 in Kennington and 168 in Quarry Hill.
The cause of the fault is under investigation with power expected to be restored by 8.30pm
A Powercor spokeswoman said crews are en route to the fault an will determine the cause shortly.
A separate fault in Bull Street, Bendigo is affecting one customer.
Meanwhile, a fault in Reservoir Road, Kennington, is still listed on the Powercor website.
The outage was cause by a branch falling on a high-voltage power line, which then fell on a low voltage line during Tuesday’s storm.
A Powercor spokeswoman said earlier this afternoon that the Reservoir Road outage was a complicated one for staff.
