Griffin has been honoured in recognition of her contributions to sport and academic achievements.
Currently studying a Master of Teaching (Secondary) at La Trobe, Griffin has also worked directly with Bendigo South East College to help develop junior athletes.
“I was very surprised to receive the award and I’m very humble with the honour given to me by La Trobe,” Griffin said.
A key element of her recognition were her sporting achievements, including representing Australia with the Opals at the 2018 Commonwealth Games where the team won gold after defeating England 99-55.
