A man injured in yesterday’s crash remains in a critical condition at the Alfred in Melbourne.
He was airlifted there yesterday following the collision with life-threatening injuries, a Victoria Police spokesman says.
Police believe a Toyota Hilux travelling south along Barbers Road collided with a tipper truck at the intersection of Sunraysia Highway about 11.55am.
The driver of the ute, a 29-year-old Birchip man, was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The truck driver, a 61-year-old Wedderburn man, stopped at the scene to assist.
The investigation is ongoing.

Paramedics are with two men, one who has serious injuries to his head and abdomen, following a collision on the Sunraysia Highway.
A man in his 20s is being assessed at the scene by paramedics and has serious injuries, an Ambulance Victoria spokesperson says.
A second man in his 60s is also being assessed and is in a stable condition.
An air ambulance is on its way to the incident, which took place at the intersection of the Sunraysia Highway and Barbers Road in Karyrie, near Birchip, at about noon.
The collision involved a car and a truck, the Ambulance Victoria spokesperson says.
