REIGNING BFNL premier Eaglehawk has added a recruit who played three games in the VFL this year to its list of off-season additions.
Jarryd Pertzel is the latest recruit to the Hawks under new coach Travis Matheson.
Pertzel played three VFL games for Frankston this year as well as 12 for Kerang, where he is a dual premiership player.
“He is a forward flanker who developed into a midfielder well this year,” Matheson said on Thursday.
“He wins quite a bit of his own footy and is good in front of goal, so he’s a good signing for us.”

Matheson previously coached Pertzel at Kerang, as he did another of the Hawks’ signings in seven-time Blues’ premiership player Ryan Gillingham.
The Blues also have Clayton Holmes from the Cohuna Kangas and Richard Tibbett from Boort as recruits for their premiership defence.
The Hawks earlier this week confirmed that grand final Nalder medallist Jonty Neaves was on the move from Canterbury Park.
