All-rounder Murphy was part of the Dragons’ drought-breaking BDCA first XI flag last season.
He is playing this season with Premier Cricket Club St Kilda.
Also part of the Victorian Country team is Strathdale-Maristians’ James Vlaeminck and Bendigo’s James Ryan, who is now playing with Essendon.
The Under-19 National Championships will be held in Adelaide.
Meanwhile, Kangaroo Flat’s Jasmine Nevins has made the Victoria Country women’s under-15 squad to play in the National Championships in Canberra in February.
And the Victoria Country women’s under-18 squad features Letesha Bawden from White Hills to play in National Championships in January that will be co-hosted by Bendigo and Ballarat.
