Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the day…
Key times
- Gates open at 10.30am
- First race is at noon
- Fashion on the field registrations close 12.15pm
- Bendigo Cup (race eight) is at 4pm
- Last race is at 5.20pm
How to get there
There’s a free bus service from the Bendigo Train Station to the racecourse.
Buses will depart every 15 minutes from 10.30am to 1pm.
A return service will start at 3.30pm.
A dedicated taxi and Uber pick-up and drop-off zone will be situated outside the main entry point.

Fashions on the field
There are several chances to win prizes in the fashions on the field this year.
Bendigo Marketplace has sponsored the categories – Lady of the Day, Local Lady of the Day, Millinery Award, Elegant Lady, Man of the Day and people’s choice.
Lady of the Day will win a $1000 Bendigo Marketplace Gift Voucher; Pandora Jewellery including Rose Sparkling Love gift set, Rose clasp bangle & Pink dazzling droplet charm, worth a total of $457; a $250 Silk Day Spa Voucher; a $150 Aveda product pack; a $150 Mimi Voucher; a $75 Famous Footwear Bendigo Marketplace Voucher; one night of accommodation at the Mitchelton Hotel Nagambie; a Mitchelton Winery Varietal Twin Pack; and a Bendigo Jockey Club membership 2018-19 valued at $150.
The fashions on the field will be set up on the public lawn. Registrations close at 12.15pm. Good luck!
Entertainment
The Carlton Draught Meeting Place will include free live music throughout the day, along with tables and chairs in a shaded lawn enclosure.
Rock band Mental As Anything will perform at the meeting place from 5.30pm.
It is open to all patrons.

Helping the farmers
Bendigo resident Joel Bertoncini is raising money for farmers by running from Port Augusta in South Australia, back to Bendigo. He will run down the straight of the Bendigo Racecourse about 1pm to conclude his fundraiser.
New AFL Zone
The AFL Zone includes a free football clinic from 12.30pm.
AFL and AFLW players including Collingwood midfielder Adam Treloar will appear from 1.30pm.
The zone is adjacent to the Inner Sanctum Car Site enclosure, next to the playground at the rear of the public lawn.
Access to the AFL Zone is free.
Stay pampered
The Silk Day Spa Pamper Lounge is a complimentary hair and make-up ‘touch-up’ bar. It will operate all day from next to the fashions on the field on the public lawn.
