WITH two scalps on Tuesday night’s opening round of the 2018-19 competition, Strathdale-Maristians’ all-rounder Sam Johnston has become the first player to 50 wickets in the BDCA’s Twenty20 competition.
Johnston picked up 2-22 off four overs in the Suns’ 18-run win against his former side, Huntly-North Epsom.
Johnston becoming the first player to 50 wickets comes in what’s the 11th season of the BDCA’s Twenty20 competition.
Johnston has a split of 26 T20 wickets with the Suns, who he joined in 2014-15, and 24 with the Power.
