Vlaeminck claimed the prized wicket of Pakistani captain Javeria Khan in Australia’s commanding 89-run win in Kuala Lumpur.
Vlaeminck, who was presented with Australian cap number 140 before the match, didn’t look out of place at international level.
The 19-year-old shared the new ball with Ellyse Perry, who was playing her 100th one-day international for Australia.
Vlaeminck’s first ball in international cricket nearly claimed a wicket. Her inswinger at good pace was just kept out by Muneeba Ali.
A series of wides hurt Vlaeminck’s figures and she was given a spell after conceding 21 runs from three overs.
Aussie skipper Meg Lanning threw the ball back to Vlaeminck midway through the innings and the former Strathdale-Maristians junior didn’t let her captain down.
In her fourth over Vlaeminck produced a fine off-cutter which crashed into the back leg of Khan and the umpire quickly raised his finger.
Australian players mobbed Vlaeminck to celebrate her first wicket at international level.
She was unlucky not to grab a second wicket when a fast bouncer was edged over the top of keeper Alyssa Healy and down to the boundary.
Vlaeminck bowled three three over spells and finished with the figures of 1-49 off nine overs.
It was a pleasing effort by Vlaeminck considering the wicket in Kuala Lumpur offered little help to the bowlers and the outfield was fast.
Earlier, Australia posted a huge total of 7-324 off 50 overs.
Australia won the series 3-0 and now play Pakistan in three T20 matches, starting on Thursday.
