The Bendigo Advertisers Your Home magazine includes a story Todd Newman Builders.
Proud of their recent award at the Bendigo Business Excellence awards, for Excellence in Building and Construction, and winner overall for Bendigo Business of the Year, the company says it has cemented their standing in the Bendigo building industry.
One of their recent projects was for an existing home that the owners lived in. They didnt love the home but loved the area, so they decided to knock down and rebuild their dream home.
We immediately had a positive interaction with the clients and new from the beginning our relationship would be long lasting. The trust the clients gave us in creating their amazing home is something we truly value and appreciate
- Todd Newman Builders
The demolition began in September 2015. With civil works to occur, time delays happened early holding up the project. Finally a slab was laid in February 2016 and the real work began.
This home is in a prestigious part of Bendigo so keeping the neighbours happy was paramount when you are already working on a tight location. With the owners living right next door another element was added into the mix. The pictures show what a stunning outcome all concerned with the project achieved for the clients.
Cast Iron Treasures
Did you know that George Washington's mother, Mary Ball Washington, loved her cast iron cookware so much that she specified in her will who should have her "iron kitchen furniture"?
Its hard to find in a standard kitchen these days, but it is making a comeback in many of the barbecue palaces.
Yes its black, often rusty, and heavy to boot, but theres nothing quite as versatile as a Dutch oven or a skillet, for cooking just about anything.
Cast iron can be used for frying, searing, broiling, baking, sautéing, braising and even stir-frying. You can make corn bread and desserts and use it in your kitchen or camping ground equally as well.
