Why are the old and new botanical garden sections not linked together?
During the recent school holidays we took the grandkids on a bike ride to the botanical gardens, on the way back we went through the new section.

I was amazed at the location of the new section.
I was under the impression it was to be all together. What I find odd is there is a vacant piece of land between the old section and the new section.
Why wasn’t the new section built next to the old part of the botanical gardens and leave more open space closer to the White Hills PS?

One of the biggest schools in Bendigo, parking has been a problem especially in Plumridge Street. The narrow one-way bridge and an intersection just over the bridge becomes a bottle neck with traffic congestion that forms there.
Also my other concern is where do patrons using the White Hills Pool park as there is approximately 12 parking spaces near the pool with other parking spaces are near the new section of the gardens.
This leaves pool users with a reasonable walk to the pool, considering that bollards have been placed preventing parking along the side of the pool, which has happened in the past.
One wonders if the pool is going to suffer the same fate as the Golden Square Pool, where the council tried to close the pool. Nothing would surprise me as this council has a history of not being up front or open with some of their decisions.
The lack of proper communication and transparency has been somewhat neglected by the new councilors who promised better representation than what we received from the previous councilors.

Teaching/leaning
A good teacher is very important,
whether it be your father,
your mother, your sisters or brothers.
They are important in the picture of life.
…
You only need maturity,
with guidance from others
- significant that may be –
as beautiful and persistant as an apple tree.
...
Given life over;
surmount the great incline.
It’s with their guidance,
that now you will walk the line.
...
Don’t fall in the ditches,
don’t be getting stitches.
Keep up the search,
of something quite divine.
