A child is in a stable condition at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne after being hit by a vehicle in Rochester.
The two-year-old boy was airlifted to Melbourne on Thursday in a serious condition with suspected leg and abdominal injuries.
Thursday:
A TWO-YEAR-OLD boy is being airlifted to hospital after being hit by a vehicle in Rochester this afternoon.
Police have yet to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident, but believe the boy was hit by a reversing vehicle at a property on Hopetoun Street about 12.30pm.
The investigation is ongoing.
Paramedics were called to Rochester and Elmore District Health Service about 12:40pm. The child will be transferred to Melbourne.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said the child was in a serious condition with suspected leg and abdominal injuries.
Police have urged anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
