This seems to be the same in the aged care sector, with an uninspiring Minister Ken Wyatt who did not want a Royal Commission into his responsibility and failure to ensure the compliance authority did their job to ensure that elderly Australians were not being abused or treated badly.
Not all residential care facilities are tarred with this brush, but those that are should not have a blind eye turned on them by our compliance authority.
The minister has to accept his responsibility .
This Liberal-National government has an objection to providing finances to the Aged Care Sector or Maintaining standards – having ripped 1.2 billion dollars out of aged care.
No wonder they didn’t want a Royal Commission into their failings.

Training wheels adrift on PM’s billy cart
Geez, what next, one of the training wheels has come adrift of our latest Prime Minister’s billy cart when he remarked that the ABC should stop talking about itself and get back to work.
Well first of all, the ABC has not stopped work, unlike your rabble some weeks ago, when you all walked out of our two hours of the no-answers question time, then spent a week doing nothing.
The ABC simply reported a debacle primarily caused by your communications minister, who appointed five people to the ABC, one of which was Mr Turnbull’s buddy, contrary to the panel’s recommendations, which was specifically set up to prevent such political decisions.
It is quite clear by all of the spin coming out of Mr Morrison’s mouth that he considers, himself along with the rest of the LNP, that they are the Australian nation, and therefore think that what is in their best interests is actually the same as the Australian nation as a whole.
Well first of all, surely 70 losing news polls should tell you something. I did say – should. And secondly, no government is elected with 100% public approval. That is why all Australians deserve to be heard, not just the mates of the LNP.

Why the 30 year wait for new submarines?
I see the new submarines may take 30 years to complete.
If we can wait 30 years, then I put it to you that we can do without them altogether.
We have many social needs and problems to attend to.
Come on, get real.
