Families were encouraged to ride in their favourite dress-ups and join a picnic and free creative activities.
A series of events will take place across the month including:
- Australian Walking and Cycling Conference (29-30 October)
- CycleLifeHQ National Cycling Tourism Conference (26 October)
- Pop-up learn to ride park and Open Streets Bendigo (27 October)
- Filmed by Bike international film festival (27 October
- Bendigo Cycling Classic (28 October)
- Open Streets Bendigo at Fun Loong Fun Day (20 October)
- Ride2Work Day (17 October)
- Community rides every Sunday
On Saturday 27 October Bike Bendigo will host a first of its kind, pop-up learn to ride park, Open Streets festival and community art project on Havlin Street East, next to Wolstencroft Park.
Community bike rides will be held every Sunday at 10am from locations across Greater Bendigo. The ride on 14 October will be Bendigo’s first ‘Yarn ride’ featuring the work of the Bendigo’s Yarn bombers. Participants are encouraged to wear something knitted, a woolly jumper or scarf on the ride.
