Vlaeminck is in the Australian squad for the three-match T20 series against New Zealand, which starts in Sydney on Saturday night.
The right-arm fast bowler has impressed Perry and her Australian team-mates at training.
"She (Vlaeminck) was in camp with us a couple weeks ago and she bowled so well that it got her into the squad," Perry told cricket.com.au.
"I’ve loved the way she’s approached her opportunity and she’s incredibly exciting in the fact that she’s probably our fastest bowler, she really gives everything 100 per cent when she’s out there.
"I think she’s going to take a lot of people by surprise. I think she just needs to go do her thing and I think keep it pretty simple, really."
An opening bowler with Victoria and the Melbourne Renegades, Vlaeminck has recovered from two knee reconstructions and a dislocated shoulder to force her way into the national team.
The Strathdale-Maristians junior was one of the stars of the Australian under-19 team which won a tri-series tournament in South Africa earlier this year.
"I'm just going to run in and try and bowl as quick as I can," Vlaeminck told cricket.com.au.
"It won't always be on the spot, but if I can get one on the spot that's good, hopefully it'll take a few wickets."
Game two of the T20 series is in Brisbane on October 1, with game three in Canberra on October 5.
