The 22-year-old golfer holds a two-shot lead going into tonight’s final round of the Portugal Masters at Dom Pedro Victoria Golf Course.
Herbert has led from start to finish after shooting rounds of 63, 67 and 64 to be 19-under par, two shots clear of Englishman Tom Lewis.
“I think this week is as close to the A-game as we get,” Herbert told europeantour.com.
“Some good confidence going into tomorrow and, hopefully, that form sticks around. In the position I want to be in so not much more we can do.
“I just need to get out of my own way tomorrow, to be honest. I've played really good up until this point.
“I don't really need to do anything different or special, just stick to the processes, keep picking the right shots and doing a good job with all of that. That's all I can control.”
Victory would not only earn Herbert a payday of more than $500,000, but also guarantee him a full-time berth on the European Tour next year.
Herbert will tee off in the final round at 9pm tonight AEST.
The tournament will be broadcast live on Fox Sports.
