EARLIER: A POWER outage is affecting more than 170 Powercor customers in Bendigo.
The outage was sparked by a fault at Don Street, which was the scene of a pole fire earlier this evening.
Police and firefighters were called to the intersection of Don and Barnard streets about 7pm.
The fire was under control by 7.15pm.
About 123 customers in Bendigo and 55 customers in the suburb of Ironbark are affected, according to the Powercor website.
The organisation expects power to be restored by 11pm.
More to come.
