The reliability of services on the line also increased, with 97.2 per cent of services being delivered for the month compared with 95.6 in July and exceeding the reliability target of 96 per cent.
CEO James Pinder said V/Line was rolling out initiatives across the network to improve performance and the August figures showed the plan was producing positive results.

“This is the third consecutive month of improvements in punctuality on the Bendigo line and the highest result since October last year.
“Through the work of our new performance managers, we’re focused on ensuring this continues and working hard to achieve our 92 per cent punctuality target.”
