Tomorrow would have been the due date for his and wife Kirsty’s second child.
But baby Emily decided to enter the world a few days early, arriving just before 7pm on Father’s Day.
“It’s been a big 48 hours,” Mrs Presley said.
The family drove to Bendigo Health from Swan Hill, arriving early on Sunday morning.
Mrs Presley’s pregnancy was deemed high risk and Emily was unable to be delivered at the hospital in Swan Hill.
Giving birth a second time proved to be a much lengthier process for Mrs Presley than it was with her son, Alex.
But she was in good spirits on Monday at Bendigo Health, with her family around her.
Emily was sleeping contentedly in her arms as she, Mr Presley and one-year-old Alex posed for a photograph.
Mr Presley was lost for words at the miracle of becoming a father again on Father’s Day.
But his smile said it all as he cradled his daughter.
