Firefighters remain at the scene of a tyre fire at the Wedderburn tip, which briefly re-ignited this morning.
A CFA spokesperson said the fire was burning for about 12 minutes before being brought under control at 9.58am.
Update, Tuesday:
Police are treating a fire at Wedderburn tip on Monday as suspicious.
An investigation into the cause of the blaze is continuing.
Investigators were called after a large blaze was located in an outside area on the southern boundary of the plant.
Update, 2.32pm:
Police are investigating a tyre fire at the Wedderburn tip this morning. They do not know yet whether it was deliberately lit.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the fire at about 8.52 on Monday morning.
CFA crews had extinguished the fire by 11am. CFA say the fire appeared to have been burning overnight.
Police say an arson chemist will visit the scene on Tuesday to determine whether the fire was deliberately lit.

Firefighters are at the scene of a tyre fire at Godfrey Street in Wedderburn.
The fire is now under control, but smoke will be visible from nearby roads and communities.
CFA were called to the fire at about 8.52am on Monday.
There is no immediate threat to the community, and no action is required, the CFA said.
