The four-day event, an amalgamation of the National Age Championships and the National Colour Show, will see almost 100 exhibitors show their best animals for judging.

The event also includes education, trade displays, and retailers.
As well as judging of the alpacas, young aspiring judges will put their skills to the test in competition.
Convenor Paul Haslin said being an animal bred for its fleece, alpacas were primarily judged on the qualities of their fleece, including density, fineness and style.
Mr Haslin said Bendigo had hosted an alpaca show for some 10 years, but this was the second year in the format of the spectacular.
