Continuing their return to form of the past month, the Thunder triumphed 11.10 (76) to 5.4 (34) at A.H. Capp Reserve.
“It was a bit of a patchy performance today,” Thunder coach Luis Alvarez-Harris said.
“We were a bit slow early, but played some good footy in the second and third quarters… we didn’t play as well as we have been, but it’s a win.”
Having recently represented Victoria Country at the Women’s Under-18 National Championships, Kodi Jacques (two goals) in a midfield/forward role was best for the Thunder.
“She was fantastic today… she had a tag, but fought her way through it and set us up really well with her disposal,” Alvarez-Harris said.
Yasmin Colley was the Thunder’s leading goalkicker with three.
The Thunder play their final game of the home and away season next Sunday against the VU Western Spurs at the QEO from 3pm.
