More than 20 historic and standard rally cars are taking on the various stages throughout the day.
About two dozen spectators waited at the spectator point on Carr Track, Knowsley for the first of the drivers testing their skill in the Knowsley forest.
The spectator point is on a hard right-hand turn, meaning drivers are showing of a combination of speed and skill as they negotiate their way around it.
Roads in the Knowsley Forest will be officially closed between 11am and 3pm for the Historic Rally Association event.
Cars left Goornong at noon with the event scheduled to finished at about 10pm tonight.
Spectator points are set up in Knowsley and Bagshot. Spectator instructions are available from the Goornong Hall.
