Bella is part of the Victorian Sub-Junior team that will compete against Western Australia, South Australia and the Australian Capital Territory at the Calisthenics Nationals starting on Thursday.
Victoria’s preparation for the championships included performing in front of almost 2000 people at a concert at the Palais Theatre in June on the same day as Bella’s 10th birthday.
Bella competing at the nationals continues what’s already been a big year for her, having already won the Calisthenics Victoria state title for 10 years novice for her solo.
Bella is coached by her mum Taneka Ruschmeyer and aunty Jessika Ruschmeyer, who are both principal coaches of Sabelle Calisthenics in Golden Square, while she now competes with Robynmore Calisthenics College at Tullamarine.
“It’s a dream come true and opportunity of a lifetime,” Bella says of her Victorian selection.
