The BFNL trio will be vying for selection in an eventual 22 player team to take on Victoria Metropolitan for the AFL Victoria Community Cup at Ballarat’s MARS Stadium this Sunday.
The blockbuster kicks-off at 2pm.
Geary, a multiple-times Victoria Country representative, captained the Victoria Country team last season in its loss to the Victorian Amateur Football Association.
The team will again be coached by St Kilda great and former Richmond coach Danny Frawley, who is chasing his first win in his second season in the role.
Eleven leagues are represented in the squad, led by the Geelong Football Netball League, which boasts six selections.
Ovens and Murray has five squad members and Goulburn Valley and Morning Peninsula Nepean both have four.
Geary, who was runner-up in last season’s league best and fairest award, and Baird have been keys in the Bulldogs’ 8-3 start to the season, which includes three straight wins.
Collins too has been in outstanding form for the Dragons, who head to the break in fifth place at 6-5.
The Victoria Country squad, which will this year be captained by Seymour’s Jason Cole, contains at least two other players familiar to central Victorian football followers.
Birchip-Watchem star Dale Hinkley has also been included, along with former Bendigo Gold captain Steve Stroobants, who is playing with Goulburn Valley league club Rochester.
Meanwhile, Gisborne young gun Jack Scanlon has been selected in a 23-player Victoria Country Under-19 squad, to be coached by former St Kilda player Damian Sexton.
The under-19 team will play the VAFA, starting at 11.30pm.
