Max Carter admitted the delay had caused his family considerable stress, adding the Carters were told a decision would be handed down within four to six weeks of the meeting.
“It’s fairly stressful on everybody concerned in the family,” he said.
Since the deadline was set, the family has not heard from planning minister Richard Wynne or the City of Greater Bendigo.
“It's just a waiting game isn't it?,” Mr Carter said.
“We just keep on running our farm as we always have - do all the jobs that are necessary and wait - that's all we can do.”
The family travelled to Melbourne in early May to hand deliver a plea letter to planning minister Wynne, urging him not to approve the forced sale of their land.
The minister is being asked to consider Bendigo council’s plan to forcibly buy 313 hectares of land off the Carter family to build an industrial park in Marong.
The council in April voted 6:2 in favour of placing a public acquisition overlay on a section of the Carters’ farm at a fiery council meeting.
The meeting, which was attended by numerous Carter supporters, was a culmination of a 16-year struggle between the family and various iterations of the Bendigo council.
A spokesperson for the state government said: “All of Bendigo wants the right decision on this project – and we won’t rush it.”
“It’s vital we take the views of both council and the local community into account to get the best outcome.”
The City of Greater Bendigo confirmed it has not heard from the minister and hasn’t received an indication of when a decision is likely.
