The Braves women improved to 13-0 in the SEABL with the 115-70 thrashing of the Bandits in Albury, which featured a three-point masterclass from Kara Tessari.
Tessari’s 26 points included 8-of-12 shooting from three-point range as she scorched the Bandits for the second time this season.
Tessari made 9-of-12 three-pointers in their April 29 encounter, which was also a blowout Bendigo win over the Bandits by more than 40 points (94-46).
Nadeen Payne’s outstanding season continued with 30 points, while star point guard Kelly Wilson produced her seventh-consecutive double-double (15 points and 14 assists).
All 10 players who took to the court for Bendigo scored and had at least two rebounds.
Meanwhile, the Braves’ men needed overtime to triumph 102-94 over the Bandits as they continue to get their season back on track with a third win in a row.
Ray Turner was sensational for the Braves with 39 points – the most by a Bendigo player this season.
The Braves’ 102 points included making 32-of-46 from the free-throw line.
Bendigo’s Indiana Faithfull forced the game into overtime when he made a three-pointer that levelled the scores at 85 apiece.
The Braves are now 9-5.
