HAMISH Morcom will coach the Central Victorian Football League Women’s team in its inaugural inter-league match next month.
The CVFLW will take on the Northern Country Women’s League in a representative game on July 15.
Morcom is the coach of Golden Square’s under-18 team, and is also an assistant coach with the AFL Central Victorian Girls Academy this year.
“It’s great that women in our region now have the opportunity to play football,” Morcom said this week.
“I believe that all the players who get selected for the match will benefit immensely from playing with elite players from the other teams in terms of both learning and developing relationships.
“I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to coach the inaugural inter-league women’s match for the CVFLW and look forward to seeing the league’s growth.”
