The musician was scheduled to perform at The Capital on June 29, one of 44 dates in the Killer Solo Tour which also included an April show in Castlemaine.
His management says it hopes to reschedule the shows once Sultan makes a “full recovery” and while tickets purchased for this tour will be valid for entry into the future shows, people can also obtain a refund from the venue or ticketing outlet from which they bought their tickets.
Fans expressed disappointment following Sultan’s show in Cairns at the weekend, some having reportedly walked out on his performance.
One spoke on social media of the musician rambling, singing off-key, and falling off his stool, and urged him to get help.
Sultan has spoken in the past of issues with alcohol.
On Monday Sultan apologised and said he was “taking stock of my personal situation and am seeking professional help”.
It was later announced that the remainder of his tour was cancelled.
“We apologise to Dan’s fans for any inconvenience this may cause,” Sultan’s management said in a statement.
“Dan’s health and wellbeing is our highest priority at this time and we thank you for your ongoing understanding and support.”
